Can anyone tell me which clutch type I've got or tell me how to
identify this? It's an S reg 1.9 turbo diesel GLX saloon. I've got a
problem with excessive travel on the clutch pedal (I have to put the
pedal to the floor to change gear) and a fair bit of play before it
starts to give any pressure. Any halp much appreciated.

  2. According to Haynes it is a self adjusting cable on all models except the
2.1 litre diesel which is hydraulic.

What Keith said. It's fairly obvious if you look at the clutch operating

"It is inconceivable that anything should be existing. It is not
inconceivable that a lot of people should also be existing who
are not interested in the fact that they exist. But it is
    certainly very odd."
