Water in 406 2002 executive estate passenger footwell.

    Trying to find out how water is getting into the car. Looks as though there is a line of water from between the side of the glove compartment and car body.that then hits the door then runs down over the sill. Have soaked the windscreen but nothing appears to come in. Any advice would b much appreciated. When it rains there is a large puddle on top of the carpet.
