I have a problem on a 205CJ, the 'STOP' light comes on intermittently but I've had the garage check the oil, water temp, cooling fan and they are sure everything is fine normal. Nevertheless, it is disturbing to see this warning light while traveling across country. When this happens, the car does not overheat and seems to run normally. Could it be an electrical fault? Can anyone advise?

As far as I'm aware, the stop light is linked to all the other warning lights, but if only stop appears and no other lights it could be a faulty wire behind the dials causing it, not an actual fault with the car. I take it when you put the ignition on that all the warning lights and red bulbs work before you start the engine? especially the low oil and low water lights.
