towbar off, rear parking aid not functioning

    on my 307SW the rear parking aid does not function when the (detachable)
    towbar is mounted. The problem is that the car believes it is mounted, even
    when I have taken it off. This means my ear parking aid never functions, and
    the indicators blink at double speed.

    I can see no sensor on the outside. How does the car know when it is
    mounted, and how can I fix my problem?
