Coolant temperature always says 70(as soon as it warms up)
Is this indicative of a thermostat problem?
    Any better ideas?
I have just replaced the coolant temp sensor

70 degrees is normal for the HDi coolant temp.

If you work it hard, like going up a big hill, it should go up a bit.

The oil temp will be higher than this.
