speedo fault

hi all new to this group
I have a 2001 406 est I have a problem with the speedo not working I have changed the drive in the gearbox and tried another set of clocks and still no speedo
my question is is there a fuse for the speedo, another fault is the window won't go down smoothly it does it in bits again tried switch but no fixed so perhaps there linked as previous owner said the seem to start at around the same time

For your speedometer issue, check the fuse in the manual, as well as the speed sensor or the wiring. For the window moving down in jerks, it could be due to the window relay or motor , try lubricating the tracks too. If both problems started at the same time, it could be due to a faulty ground or a common electrical issue.
