Hi All,

As in my introducing post I mentioned I have a problem that I cannot figure out on my own and would like some help of you(?)

I own a 2004 206 1.6 16V. bought it with only one key (for now no problem, will be fixed soon!)
als the batteryg of the keyfob was dead, so replaced the battery and the remote control began to work as it should be!

Since the car has been standing still for some months and could not drive long distance due to failing maintenance in the past we decided to remove the battery from the car and charge it! easy said and done.

after we placed the battery back into the car the problems begun. keyfob is most of the time not working, If i'm lucky and I click 4 or 5 times on the open or close button it might work. sometimes mostly after a drive it works instantly, then the next day opening agian is a hell! (or I just use the key)

What I've done so far
- Reset the BSI computer following the steps I found at Google
- did a resync with the key in the starting postion and holding the close button for at least 10 seconds

What could this problem be, does anyone have seen this issue on his/hers car?

After the battery gets disconnected the key often needs resyncing to the car. Try putting the key in, turning the ignition on, and pressing the lock button on the remote within about 10 seconds, then give it a try. Does it work any better after that?
