Has anyone replaced the bearings and oil seal on one of these? Belt driven
model with ring of fasteners round top of circular diaphragm.

If this is the type fitted to the earlier Pug diesels, then no, I haven't
replaced the bearings etc, but I did have one run low on oil because the oil
seal leaked. Basically it was scrap, as the piston and so called bug end
    were clapped out.
    Got a replacement.

Just for interest I took it to bits this morning. The big end is ok but the
crankshaft bearings are ill. The bearing /crank unit is a special made by
SKF. Overall a very nicely made unit, but scrap if the crank bearing wear
    out.
