Peugeot Oil fill

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by Clive Shipping, Jul 5, 2005.

  1. Help please. I have just aquired a 1994 Peugeot 405 GL auto. I can not
fathom out how to top up the engine oil. There appears to be no filler cap.
I can find the dip stick but that is all!

On my 95 405 GLX 1.8 the oil filler is right on top of the rocker box
cover, left hand end as you look from the front of the car - can't miss it -
I think it has a picture of an oil can on it.

On both my (earlier) 405's you take out the dipstick and undo the spring
clips either side of the top -- like the old clips on a distributor cap.
    Then lift off.
