In the last two weeks I unfortunately got close to running out of diesel but the car did not stop, I know it was close to running out

Since then I have had the antipolution code come up and have been told the fault codes are 1166 and 0087. These were reset and it was fine until yesterday. I went to put my foot down to go past a lorry and the fault code came up again and the engine stopped. It was reset again with the same fault codes and it has been fine in normal driving until I tryed to get past something again and it happened again.

The local garage mentioned it could be the high pressure fuel pump, which i realise could be a few quid. Its just under three years old and it has done 77000 miles so im not sure if its in warranty.

It has been serviced recently, but im not sure if they changed the fuel filter.

Im hoping it could just be some dregs in the fuel filter!

    Any ideas
