Check the seals round your rear light clusters, as these are a common
problem. The water runs over the boot and down under the rear seats

I just use to put some bathroom sealant round them - easy, cheap fix and
    worked fine.

i had the same problem on my 405,this caused water to get under the rear
passenger side seat, and into the boot.i changed the door seals but the
problem was due to a rear window which i had fitted and was leaking round
the seal.the company that fitted the window said it was the condition of
the car(rust around the window appeture) that caused the leak and not
their workmanship, but i took the car to a few different glass fitters for
advice.both of which said the fitting of the window was to blame, and one
glass company removed and resealed and refitted the window for £30.
