Oil Pressure / Temperature wiring 309 GTI 8v

    Good evening,

    With my historical rally car, a 309 GTI 8v 1900 from 1987, I have trouble with my oil instruments, as soon as I turn on ignition, my oil pressure is at maximum and my oil temperature the same - and we cannot figure out why, when unplugging the cables from the sender and the switch in the engine block, both instruments goes down to zero. Can it be an earth issue?

    Any ideas?
