noisy tappets

    I own a 405 the hunter series injection. Recently had an overhaul done. However, now that I have it back I find the tappets are rather noisy. My mechanic doesn't seem to have a clue of what to do claims the noise will subside with time. Am not convinced, how could i possibly resolve this?
