Hi I have a 2011 308,1.6 HDi Automatic, first Peugeot for 10 + years. She arrived yesterday.
She has done 53.000 from new with most of her servicing done at t Robins & Day in Newcastle/Gatesheed
I am dropping her off this morning for the all important cam/timing belt change to be done by Evans Halshaw in Mansfield.
Hi Leslie, that OEM audio is an elegant classic but I suppose it's hands-free safety first. I wonder if a Peugeot oldie like you can help me. I am a befuddled with my Peugeot 205 GL because there is no displacement (cm3) found on the registration card with production in France listed 1990 although I think actually 1989 model. I tried to identify the engine and decode the VIN. It's possibly either a TU9 (954cc) or TU3 (1360cc) but there are several versions in between! Photos attached. VIN plate: VF320AK3123772880 1220 kg 1920 kg 1 750 kg 2 680 kg. Engine Number: 23772880 Next to engine number are two small riveted metal tags: One has three separate markings (Photo #6 from left): (1) K3A (2) PTC (3) TYPE REGL. and the other is marked: 1F SOC 673512. Other possible distinguishing features (assumed original): Weber carburettor (single) made in Italy! Trim GL phase 2 Thank you very much. John W (expat in Vietnam).
Thanks Leslie, much appreciated you responded at all. Perhaps you could help me place my inquiry where it may get an answer since I am still unfamiliar with this forum? From my searches and comparisions, I think the "K3A" is code for a TU3 A/K (1360cc) or a TU3 TR (reduced compression ratio) but I haven't yet found a definitive reference to AK3 (only AK1 & AK2)
