    Hello All,
I have a 508 SW GT done 59,000 miles and it has come time to replace the brake pads and discs. My local Pug dealer quotes two prices - one for genuine Peugeot parts and another for "Approved" parts.

These are the first replacements and I will keep the car at least another 4 years. I am seeking advise as to whether the extra £150 for genuine is neccesary??

The "Genuine" discs & pads supplied by a Peugeot Dealer are probably made by Bosch or Brembo, all Peugeot do is put them in their boxes at very inflated prices.
So make sure Bosch or Brembo parts are fitted to your car. They are available online for between £160 to £220 for a pair of discs and a set of pads.
