Hi, We will soon be embarking on a camping trip requiring us to get 4 people and the tent / gear transported to the campsite. I have a GTline 308sw mk2 with a 1.6 diesel engine. I currently have roof bars and a roof box on the cat but the roof box seems very restrictive for what you can fit in it. I was wondering if it would be safe to securely ratchet strap the tent to the roof using the roof rack as anchor points. The weight of the tent is 33kg Any input gratefully received!
