Loss of power

    I have a 807 hdi 52 , ever now and again it starts to lose power & the engine smell hot , no engine management light on , then the next day it is fine , been in to garage and they can not find owt wrong with it , (behave when in garage )
    All they can put it down to is electrical problem , please help if any one had same issue & resolved ,
