Loose roof bar on 406

I think the nut has come off one of the roof bar mountings on my 99 406
estate. Last time I used my roof box there was a lot of creaking from the
area around the rear of the left side bar. Over the last month or so there
is a rattle coming from the same area when I drive around sharp bends or
    brake suddenly.
Getting at the underside of the mount means removing the roof lining I
think. Since the lining is one piece, can anyone give me any tips. e.g. What
do I need to remove prior to getting the lining out, what should I be
    especially careful of, etc.
Any help will be gratefully received.

    Thanks,
    Andrew

    Hi,
I am on the same boat. After a brief use of a roof box for a few days, all
roof rail mountings started loosening up. Having checked Haynes and French
RTA manuals, I could not find anything related to this isssue. it would be
good if someone can present his experience or one day I have to become the
1st person to eat this crab(crap?).
    Cheers,
    Y.W.
