Intermittent Slight Drumming sound under load (front of car)

    help! I have a 2009 308 Hdi which has recently developed a strange sound when driving. It sounds a bit like a rotating part is hitting something. It does not get worse on full lock and sometimes you can bring it on or make it go away with a small movement of steering wheel when driving. It seems to be more prevalent when making slight movements to left. I thought a drive shaft cv but normally that would get worse under full lock. Any thoughts or ideas most welcome. Thanks
