injector resistance?

hi folks i have a 2002 2.0hdi 90bhp and have tried to read resistance of injectors on pins and all read open circuit ,can anyone tell me if im doing anything wrong?

 

Hi! first of all, the multi meter you using, is it auto range?

 

no but tried on various ranges ,and with engine running and tried to unplug injector ,injector must be working as idle gets lumpy

 

whats wrong with your vehicle first?

 

initial fault seemed to be sluggish so bought egr cleaner and sprayed in air box prior to maf ,then revs took off and loads of black smoke ,ever since that from cold difficult to start where before no issue and loads of blue smoke ,me thinking now that valve stem seals poss shot

 

ok. please check if thee the egr is not stuck open, i have hag experience with egr, it can make a car not start

 

ok ,would this also explain blue smoke,how would you test for this ,
i have pulled pipe off egr and blanked but made no apparent difference

hmmmm. check the air circulation into te inlet manifold, is there oil in the inlet pipe? if the is please clean. does you car have a turbo?

 

Confirm, is there an engine light warning lamp that is showing. maybe you need to get PP to check the trouble codes that will come out.

 

hi no engine manage light on its just the 90bhp 2002 hdi 75k on clock,had diag check no faults showing

 

its a bit tricky, is your car turbo charged? check if there is oil coming from turbo
