I have a 1994 Peugeot 405 GLX saloon, and both keys do not work anymore.

    I have replaced the coin batteries and checked that the infra-red LED works by using my phone camera, which picks up that wavelength. The red LED on the side lights up ok, but the IR LED'S now don't work at all - on both keys. I have desoldered one and tested it with a coin battery and lights up. but it doesn't when re-soldered back. I was going to cannibalise an LED from an old TV remote control and replace but that's not the problem. Any suggestions as i love my old pug! PS they are valeo keys. one has "decided" to work again. I can't understand it!!!!!!
