Help i got a 407sw

ok, here goes. last month had front bearing replaced (by proper guys).
Whilst car was in garage they put it on diagnostics because ABS light was on, said they couldn't tell if was front or rear nearside. Abs light been on since early Dec. Did spin the wheel test, hand brake beep when rotated, and sure enough front nearside,
Ordered a cable and changed they front today, not much of a drams tbh. Put it all back together took it for a test drive only to find 10yrds up road dash lit like a Christmas tree!!! Brake malfunction light, STOP light management light, you name.
10 mins after been parked, flat battery! jumped it, 10 yrds no power steering. Wheel off AGAIN. Found a dodgy earth, cleaned it, test drive still stop light on but got power steering. WHEEL OFF AGAIN. This time took new Abs cable off and its fine....
Any one got any ideas OR know off any cheap mechanics around midlands
