Gear selection problem

    My 307 diesel 2007 hasn't been driven for the last couple of weeks over the Christmas period, and I have just started her up but cannot get into reverse to get the car off the drive. I can select the other gears, but not very easily, however, as I would need to reverse to get off the drive I am effectively stuck!

    Any ideas? Could something have ceased up due to inactivity or cold weather? The mileage is only about 42k, so seems early for gearbox or clutch problems, although appreciate it is not a young car.
