fuel tank cap sensor 407sw diesel estate 57reg

    A warning comes up saying that the fuel cap is not secure which is was warning continues. Took car to have a diagnostic test this showed that the fuel cap tank sensor needs replacing.
    What does this sensor do and where is it situated.
