Exhaust particle filters.

    I see the Euro Car Parts are now doing thir own copy of the original
    unit. As far as I can tell, they only do the later type with the split
    box bolting up on the gasket, but the new cost is £175, well under
    half the Peugeot price.
    They list most of the Pug/Citroen range of diesels.

    That's good. I've never seen these particle filters because all my cars are
    too old :-(

    Are they in the exhaust pipe, and would it be possible to remove them and
    fit a length of ordinary steel pipe? (like I did with the cats on both my
    old 306 Diesels)

    Eeeer I'm not sure, as there's a bit of electronic management which is
    necessary to make them run.
