    Hi there,

I am new to this forum. I have a 1.9 GRDT Peugeot 405 1993 Estate which I am determined will see me through to the end so I am trying to source an injection pump in hope that it will keep the old girl going.

I have sourced a used one for a Saloon 405 1.9 Diesel 1993 but it says 69HP so I though I'd best check my car. My log book gives me no indication to the HP of my engine but an online vehicle checker and a vehicle specifications site have both stated that the BHP of my car is 92 or 93 BHP. Another online search has told me that BHP and HP are slightly different but how different?

It looks to be the same pump as mine on the pictures with the electrical connections even matching up.

My real question is, what would be the result of using a lower HP injection pump fo my engine, is it possible?

    Many thanks for your time.
