Hi - I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for where to
put a CD Changer in an estate (1998 306) so as not to lose carrying
capability when the rear seets are down?

The CD Changer is 2nd hand Clarion that matches the 306's Clarion
headunit and comes with a long cable from a boot-mounted 306
    hatchback.

    All ideas gratefully received

    Regards
    Malc

  2. In most cars there are small corners such as in at the rear of the rear
wheel arches in the boot, why not try in one of these areas, or if you have
to fit it on the floor in a corner, try to have a strong housing made for
    it, to protect it.
You take the cables in behind the carpets, (just at the dge and push it
round further with your fingers, then take the cables in uder the plastic
sill protectors on the door thresholds, and in behind the carpets again then
    up into the dash board.
Dont put the changer unit on the top of the wheel arch as this could make it
difficult should you need to change the rear struts in the future.
    all the best with it.
