Advice needed on a 2008...

    Hi All, Looking for advice on a '64 plate 2008. I am considering buying one from a reputable dealer and this morning I took it for a test drive. Not a bad drive BUT the gear stick was very 'sloppy'..not tight at all. Gear changing was okay but it worries me that with so much movement on the gear leaver there may be problems shortly down the line. The salesman and his mechanic said its absolutely fine and this is common with gear sticks on 2008's. Can I ask if anyone has had a similar problem or am I worrying about nothing. The car's done 34,000 miles.
