Hi - I have a 605 with bendix brakes - the rear brakes work (footbrake) but the wheel can still be turned by the aid of a crowbar.
So far,I have replaced the master cylinder, the rear calipers move freely, the discs and pads are in reasonable condition.
After replacing the master cylinder the brakes took a lot of bleeding and the footbrake still feels a little spongy - the front brakes lock solid but as mentioned I can't get a solid lock on the rear.
Is the brake compensator valve a serviceable part or is there a way of checking if its working or not?
Hope someone out there can find an answer for me before spending more than the car's value in new brake parks before it gets thro' the MOT:confused:
