407 mirrors angling down when in reverse gear.

The handbook suggests that this is standard on all models, and to do it you
simply move the left/right selector switch to the appropriate position when
in reverse, move the mirror and then the car remebers that position and
returns to it when in reverse (with the left right selector switch
    selected?).

I can't get my SE to do it. Do SE's do this or have I got something wrong?

doesnt work; it only works if you have electronic seat adjusting with
    memorymodule,

Cheers, so it does not work as I do not have it. It did not have an '*'
next to it in the handbook which implied it worked for all models. As
usual, you have to guess what features your car does and does not have.

I'm slightly suspicious that its probably only a software tweak given
everything seems computer controlled, i.e. next model up gets the better
    program.

    Thanks,

    Pete

I have a 3 month old 407 SW EXEC and have the same problem - in the
handbook - but it does not work. Dealers have no idea a lot of the
    time !!

All these dealers have to do is plug in the Planet Peugeot Laptop they
all have and access the BSI configuration. They can change a whole
    range of options there.
