406 hdi which wires are for the scavanger pump

    Hi All
    I've been told to check the scavanger pump under the backseat of my
    1999 406 hdi to make sure that it's pumping fuel to the injectors

    Can anyone tell me which of the four wires! are the correct 2 wires for
    the 12 volt supply to the pump.
    As I am not getting a correct voltage from any of them I want to check
    that the pump is working by briefly applying a 12 volt supply to it,
    to make sure that it's working,
    If it does work then it could only be 3 things wrong with the car
    broken wire, faulty relays (the big brown one next to the vcu), or the
    vcu,

    get a circuit tester touch each wire as the car is turned over 1 will
    light up i think its the third 1 along the brown wire but cant
    remember
