noise like a purring cat(just louder) is it nearly broken now, or what?

This isn't meant as criticism, but you may be better explaining the problem
    carefully in your own language.
Hopefully then another local owner/mechanic could help.

  3. It's not a normal case that the noise of the fuel-pump is louder than
the noise of the engine. In my HDI 90HP i only can hear the
fuel-pump the moment i switch on the ifnition, before starting the
    engine.

Now the car didn't startup anymore, it stopped after starting after 3
seconds, After 2 days in the garage they still cannot find the problem, The
fuel pump is OK, now they think it is the high pressure fuel pump, after 2
secs. the pressure drops from the normal 160 Bar to 0 Bar. Any suggestions?
The Peugeot Garage doesn't know the answer......HELP!

Believe me, it is a proper pug garage, they have sent the data to
Manchester help desk, and they haven't come up with an answer either. The
only thing that is for sure, before the engine stalls, the pressure of the
high pressure pump drops from 160 Bar to 0 Bar.....

    End conclusion:
scavenge pump broken, parts of this pump went through the filter into the
highpressure pump, and this caused the high pressure pump to breakdown
also. 1270 euro. F*** my letter to Peugeot is ready to be sent....
