406 engine managment light question?

Can anyone answer this question for me?
if I brake as normal, you don't get the engine managment light come on, but if I brake at the same time as the throttle being slightly on, the light comes on. I know this should not be done, but did notice it after I changed the front pads and wanted to bed them in a bit quicker on slightly worn discs, I don't think it's a problem but just wondered why it comes on?

same on mine. I think the engine realises there's something holding it back, so it tells you.

Can anyone answer this question for me?

Yes This causes a fault known as "compatibility error" (as said by the diagbox - my brother, on training at Citron's saw it on a Xantia and reported me that, it made me smile), because you try to brake & accelerate at the same time, which ain't normal on a classic drive style (OK, I also practice the left foot braking, but don't say it to my parents, LOL) and may let the ECU "think" (I put ", 'cause we all know an ECU doesn't think at all) there's a problem, like a faulty sensor.

I guess I've aswered the question now. And my conclusion is "don't care".
