P reg 2.1 turbodiesel estate. Speedo has stopped working. Somtimes worked
intermittently but has now ceased completely. I've cleaned and checked the
connector on the speed transducer located near the output driveshaft but
still no joy. Is there another connector between this one and the speedo on
this model? I really hope I don't have to rip the dash out! All the other
instruments are fine except the mileometer of course. This still displays a
mileage but it doesn't change. I'm hoping it's a wiring fault or failed
    transducer but we'll see......
    Any help appreciated.
    cheers,
    JB

I've just had to change the speedo transducer on mine (black box behind the
glove box). I even took the old one apart and re-soldered bits of it, but
didn't get any joy. Once I changed it, it was back to normal straight away,

Is this the control module? The transducer is attached to the gearbox
itself. If it is the module, how much did you have to pay for it? (probably
an arm, leg or major organ I'll bet?)
    cheers,

90% of the time it is the transducer. Sometimes it is the ECU behind
the glovebox. if you are really unlucky, it's both!!

Sorry for the delay, it was £38, which I think is over the top for what it
is, but they've got you where they want you, so they can charge whatever
they want. I think it's a bit crap as this part is obviously a common fault
and it should last the life of the car.

Sorry didn't answer the original question, yes it's the control module,
Peugeot just called it the speedo interface,
