    hello there

when starting the car it sometimes cuts straight away to get over this i have
to put my foot down which is not a good idea from cold.
when driving the car and i take my foot off the pedal it drops to around 900
revs and then drop drastically but pick up again straight away like its about
to stop but it never does.
a new maf ( mass airflow sensor ) has been fitted but it has made no
    difference.
no error codes are coming up.

    any help would be appreciated

    thanks patch.

  2. Can't offer any help I'm afraid but have had same model for 3.5 years and
have noticed the exact same behaviour on many occasions. Slightly
disconcerting, but never seems to lead to a stall so have always assumed
it's some quirk of the engine design.

  3. hello Peter

sorry for the slow reply but i have had a mechanic mate of mine look at the
car and he sorted it grand style it turned out to be the high pressure sensor
for the fuel rail its situated behind and just to the left of the fuel filter
it reminds me of the old oil pressure sensors but a little bigger.i can,t
believe the difference it made to the car its never been better i have had
this car over 3 years now and its never been so good.I don,t know the cost of
these sensors as he had a good used one on his van he only charged me a
    tenner in total.

    hope this helps
