405 Immobiliser prob

    My immobiliser doesn't like to work. I've tried both my plip keys. The
    lights on the plips come on fine, but it's really hit and miss with
    anything happening. I have to aim from different points outside the
    car. I did wonder if I can remove the immobiliser and retro fit an
    alternative.

    I'm sure pug will supply them but IIRC people in this NG has written of prices
    around £60 each!!!!!!

    The codes are hardwired in each key and car and these have to set to match. I
    don't know whether the dealers do the coding or the correct key code has to be
    ordered to match the car.
