405 Estate 1996 Front Bumper removal

Discussion in 'Peugeot 405' started by petercharlesfagg, Feb 11, 2007.

  1. Can someone please describe how I remove the front bumper on my car.
I have no garage or lifting access.

  2. There are no replies but it does not matter, what does matter is why I
needed to remove the bumper in the first place and how I achieved an
    answer to my problem.

Elsewhere on this and other forums I found information about the
problem of the cooling fans remaining on in the full blast position!!

I replaced the (3) relays in front of the radiator because they were
so heavily corroded attaching new crimped contacts to each wire but
    the problem persisted!

It was recommended that I remove the bumper and renew the earth
connections hence wanting to remove the bumper.

Instead my local dealership suggested changing my fuses from the very
cheap Ebay ones to the bespoke Peugeot originals, changing number 2 (A
5 amp) inside the car cured the problem instantly!!

Just thought it might be useful to others to know the outcome!

Usually the earth connections corrode and will STOP the fans from
    working altogether.
