    Hi

My 1995 405 1.9 diesed has a judder when accelerating and when slowing
down. It is most obvious in 2nd gear at about 1500rpm and stops at
about 2500rpm. It happens in 3rd and 4th gear but is less apparent.

    Can anyone help?

Sounds like you may have an inner C.V joint on it`s way out - Ford
escort Turbo`s were bad for this and produced the same kind of effect
    - if you hold the inner joint while rotating the shaft backwards and
forwards slightly you can normally feel excess play - compare one side
to the other - failing this you may need to pull back the boot and
check if the joint is dry or worn - hope this helps you out !
