Looking at my latest acquisition, a 405 break, the 14 inch wheels seem a tad too small. I’m sure if the tyres had been readily available back in 95, Peugeot would have use larger diameters. My searches have lead me to discover that Citroen C3 Picasso 6Jx16 alloys with an offset of 23mm fit rather well and when shod with 195 55 16 tyres improve the handling immeasurably. They also correct the speedo, which runs about 5 MPH fast on standard 185 55 14’s. Currently searching for best tyre and pressure combo, will report when testing is over. Don’t seem to have any clearance issues and seems to increase track by about 1 inch.
