*have a problem with my Peugeot 307 HDI FAP.I bought the car in 2002 an
it passed 70,000 km.Three months ago the "UNBLOCK DIESEL FILTER" warnin
appeared on my screen. The guys at Peugeot service told me that proble
came from FAP filter.Lately I found out that my FAP filter have
storage carring 5 liters of special additive needed for FA
operation. So, apparently my problem was the lack of that additive oil.
ordered about 1,5 liter of that additive and the warning stoped. Now,
have new problem. When I bought the car its fuel comsuption was 6,
l/100 km.Now it is 8,2 l/100 km and I can not understand what is goin
on.Please help me!!!Don't tell me to ask my country's official deale
because I don't believe them. One more thing, please tell me what is th
price of 1 liter of FAP additive oil in EU?I payed 1 liter about 5
euros here.Thank you in advance! Please help me!!* :mad

I would guess the FAP filter requires unblocking or "regenerating".
This can only be done at your dealers as it requires the use of the
Diag tool. The cerine fluid here in the UK is around £28 a litre,
which is around 41 Euros. Should only need refilling at 120.000 km
theoretically, but I have known them to need it earlier.

  3. Don't forget there is 2 types of cerine fluid (dpx 42 @ 80,000 km (50,000
miles) ) or 176@ 120,000 km (72,000 miles)). If you brought the vehicle in
2002 and it had 70,000 on the clock ,using logic the vehicle must have dpx 42
which is 80,000 km service intervals NOT 120,000 km... all the best mark

Absolutely. I would personally "guess" the 120K type, but as 2002 is
quite close to the change over period, the only safe thing is to go by
build code. You must NOT mix them!!

Errr, I don't think I want to divulge that on here. When I first
posted to this NG, must be three years now, it was advised to stay as
anonymous as possible, which is why I have never said where I live or
where I work, or even give a true email address. My name IS Nigel
    though!!!
Why do you want to know anyway?

  7. EERRR..... it's up to you ??? ,can't see what difference it makes saying what
dealer you work at ??? . I can understand not saying where you live for
obvious reasons ????(it goes w/o saying). Why do you want to know anyway?<<<<i
was curious to see where you were as i might know your m.t. ??. I'm from
    goodfellows .

When I said "where I live" I meant the general town rather than the
actual address. OK. It's Warners, and our m.t. at the moment is Biff.
That could all change as we are going through a management overhaul
    and anything can happen!

Mike Bird has been made redundent! One of the many managerial
decisions that have been made in the Warners Group that probably
shouldn't have been. But who am I to question? I just keep my head
down and get on with my job, and leave the decisions to those above!
