307 ECU reported faults - what are they and did they correct them!?

Discussion in 'Peugeot 307' started by Peter Hemmings, Sep 7, 2006.

  1. Hi,

Just had my 307 110bhp HDI (54) in under warranty.
Sometimes it missed and stalled when starting and I suspected the engine
    mounts were loose/worn and "clonking"
Nothing found wrong with mounts but the ECU reported 2 permanent faults:

    1. Pre/post heating relay circuit. Relay controlled and spark plugs
    not supplied!!

    2. Particulate emission filter (PEF). Maximum number of aborted
    regenerations reached.

    The worksheet says:

Carry out diagnostic checks for stalling
Check and record faults. Carry out forced regenerations.
Check engine mounts - All OK.

    My questions are:

    1. What should they have fitted to rectify Pre/post heating relay circuit?

    2. What was the likely cause of the PEF problem and is it likely to
    happen again?

    (OK thats 3 questions!)

    Thanks
