    Hello,

3 times recently our 12 month old 16000 mile UK Pug 307HDI 2.0l has not
wanted to start. When we think about it it appears to follow on from
locking or unlocking the car and then not starting the car for a while. The
car lets you get in but won't start because it thinks it is still locked
seems to be the scenario. Anybody else experienced this? After a bit of
faffing around with the key fob - lock/unlock or unloock/lock/unlock sort of
    thing it starts fine.

Tell me it's happened to you ... can't face explaining ti to the Pug
    dealer!!!

    See ya,

    Phil

    Hi GT

I thought about going to the dealer ..... but that really is a last resort
.... people in here talk more sense than they usually do.

I had a possible 'brainwave' last week and am now using the spare key.
Wonder if perhaps the battery in the original ... though only a year old
...... but with 17000 miles on the clock now ..... 12000 in the last 6 months
........ was going down a bit and sending confusing messages to the receiver.
Since changing over to the spare everything seems ok. Fingers crossed. If
it stays ok for another couple of months I'll get a enw battery for the
    other one.

    Bye,

    Phil
