307 - Aircon/Climate Control?

Discussion in 'Peugeot 307' started by Howard Pollock, Oct 1, 2003.

  1. Hi,

Just have a question about the 'auto' setting on the 307 aircon (SE110 hdi
    - UK).

It seems to me that on auto seting, the flow of cool air is virtually non-
existent unless you open the air vents for the face (in which case the cold
air almost blows your head off!), or you manually set the aircon towards
the windscreen/floor etc. There is virtually no flow of air through the
windscreen vents or floor vents if the system is just left on auto.
Strangely enough, the heating does seem to work ok when on auto, with air
    flowing through all vents.

Anyone else experienced this, or how does yours work? My local dealer says
all is 'within operating parameters', but I don't trust them - they are
surely the worst set of garage mechanics I have ever dealt with!

    Thanks, in advance

    Howard

Not the same car, but my C5 does often move the air away from your face,
especially when the cabin is close to the desired temperature. In auto, it
often blows air gently through all the vents so you don't feel much of a
    breeze.
