Thanks to all who replied to my question re. the 307 handbook, I now have
another query if anyone can help.

I want to install my amateur radio transceiver, but I need a 12V supply
capable of supplying at least 5A. In previous cars, I've always been able
to find a route directly back to the battery, or (less preferable as it is
prone to pick up interference) to the back of the cigarette lighter
socket. On the 307 however, I can't see how to do either.

Does anyone have any suggestions..? The car is still under the
manufacturer's warranty so I don't want to bodge too much ;-)

In Chris <> typed, for some strange, unexplained reason:
: Well i fitted one into my pug 405 and pick up a live from the radio

: with had to fit a small one beside the panel just under the steering

Sorry you fitted one what..? A TX capable of 50W output..? I doubt the
broadcast radio feed is capable of supplying 5-6A, although I could be
wrong. I enquired at my local Peugeot dealer and they said yes they could
run me a feed directly back to the battery, but they wanted an hour to an
hour and a half labour at £80 an hour..! Gulp..!

Looking more closely at the handbook, some variants of my car have a 12V
lighter type socket in the boot space, but mine doesn't. I wonder if the
wiring loom is there though..? Anyone got any ideas..?

I think Chris has CB so he is probably referring to that.
