306 Turbo diesel heater blowing cold

my 306 turbo diesel has had the heater matrix changed, the electrics tested, it has had a new thurmostat and there is no air block in the system. the temp gets to 1/2 between 90 degrees but it is still blowing cold air through into the car, however it does blow hot air only through the 2 middle grates, i have turned these off and let it blow only through to the window on full power but after 45mins driving it is still cold, what could be the problem!!!

I've had exactly the same problem, with the heater only getting warm through the middle vents. I hate to say this to you, but mine was cured when I had the heater matrix changed last month, turns out the old one was leaking. You may have a faulty replacement heater matrix, as I had exactly the same symptoms, Unfortunately, there's no way to find out without the dashboard coming out.

Mine started to do this then the thermostat and water pump needed to be changed.

Mine does not seem to start to blow warm air until actually driven about a mile or so..

Leaving it standing and running does not heat the air.
