I also noted that if you turn the steering wheel quickly whist stationary, the engine revs increase briefly then settle down again. Is this normal or is it possibly the pump on its way out and putting extra load on the engine? Also, after running for a few miles a rattle is heared coming from the cat area. If the rattle stops it is possible to start it off again by knocking the pipe near the cat. It is an internal rattle so is it possible for the cat internals to become loose or detached?
