306 gti Air Con

    1998 306 GTI 6. I have been quoted £600 inc vat for a new compressor and
    the two main pipes including fitting and regas. Is that expensive, is there
    a way to fix it for less?

    if the compressor has collapsed internally check for swarf comimg out of the
    compressor
    in this case the repair normally includes changing all the pipes plus the
    condensor and evaporater plus the drier
