306 Gear Knob

    Can someone tell me the easiest (and correct :p )way to remove a 306 gear changer knob. Thx

    To remove the gear knob you will have to pull it straight up and not try to
    twist or turn it. You will have to pull very very hard because it's fitted
    on very tight, nearly knocked myself out trying to take mine off.

    I've changed a fair few of these, and I've found if you put your legs
    either side of the centre console, grip the knob, stand as much as
    possible, twist the knob no more than 45 degrees, and pull HARD, it'll
    come off, BUT beware of contact with your "bits"! (You only do that
    ONCE!!!) To replace just slip it on the lever and bang it with the
    flat of your hand a couple of times.

    twist and pull up
    tight but it does come off
