The drivers door electric windows drop facility will only work
intermittently. Anyone got any ideas please?

    TIA

  2. May be a broken wire where the wire comes from the car and into the door, or
    the switch.
    Regards, mark.

It is probably the switch contacts. Although the wiring from the door to the
    car is know to break.

The switch is fairly easy to clean. use a thin screwdriver or knife to ease
the switch unit out of the panel. Disconect the leads (they are keyed so you
do not have to remember where they go).

Then take the bottom section of the switch off (watch out for the mirror
positioner spring it can come flying out). There is a circuit board just
clean the contacts under the rubber cover. reverse this to put it back in.

Fairly easy 1 spanner difficulty. About 20 minutes in total. You can test
the switch befor you put it back in to see if it has worked.

  4. When you disconnect the battery or when it brake's down with the window
    open, you get this problem.

You have to reset the computer.

Disconnect the battery again for a few seconds with the window closed.

    Your problem should been solved.

Weak contacts! Make sure it hasn't gotten contact with rain or direct water. Brush the control unit and watch for weak solderings
