    Hi,

Just bought an N reg 306 D Turbo with 85K on the clock but it hasn't has a
cambelt change. AT what interval should it be changed and what sort of
price should I expect to pay?

    Cheers

    Hi,
From memory i think Peugeot say 70k...

Get it done now if its never been done, obviously a main dealer will be
expensive for this, go to your local independant garage, they're not that
    expensive.

Get it done as a matter of urgency and get the coolant pump done at the same
time. My coolant pump failed at about 81k miles (N reg 306 DTurbo) and I was
lucky enough for it not to take the cambelt and the rest of the engine with
it. When I had them changed 11 months ago it cost me £175.21 from a decent
independent garage. Parts were £61 +VAT and Labour was £88 + VAT. I'm told
it can be a pig of a job to do because there is so little room to work in.

jobs pretty easy but dealers hourly rate is what clocks up the price, use
genuine parts and independant garage if possible

Thanks for the replies folks. Getting it done with genuine parts at a local
independant peugeot garage in Norwich for £94inc. Also been recommendend by
a friend that I get the alternater belt done at the same time so shall ask
    them to do that too.

    Cheers
